Hi Dave , yes i had forgotten Trevor Price and his red TKs , i think he had a AEC Mercury as well , and one of his last wagons was a 8 legger ERF . regards Keith
That’s right Keith. Trevor Pounder who is still driving for Tony Lewis drove the ERF for him. Had a word with Mervyn, he thinks his came from Bulmers originally,as its got green paint underneath the red, also got writing on the chassis. He’s going to upload a pic.
Cheers Dave.
Hi Dave , will look forward to that pic , have since been thinking there was Patricks of Canon Pyon who had sevaral TK Bedfords as well . thanks Dave regards Keith .
Hi Keith,

Cheers Dave.

A young Mervyn Thomas when he drove for Roberts in the 1970’s. Note the fleet number on the cab, indicates how big Roberts was in his day.
30+ years later Mervyn in one of his own fleet in the same colours.

Hi Dave , Roberts in their heyday must have had about 80 trucks , considering their depot in Swansea as well . regards Keith .

Pontrilas seem to be changing to Scania’s after running M A N’s for a while, seen on the A465 Hereford.
hello Dave , they used to have a lot of Fodens , would see them often at Shotton paper , dont see them so often now , thank you Trevor .
Yes they did run several Fodens Trevor, also had a Volvo F88. I think most of their timber goes to their own mill at Pontrilas these days. There is a huge stack of timber there, also a lot of biomass artics hauling woodchip etc from there.
Cheers Dave.
