Cheers Dave.
Mervyn Thomas started his driving career on Bedford TK’s and Bedford CF’s for Roberts of Knighton. He has spoken of restoring one, which would be nice.

Possibly Keith. There were a lot of Bedford TK’s in Herefordshire. That is an early one 1960 possibly. I drove YVJ 57 for Powells of Kinngton for a short while before I left to drive for C W Griffiths. The one on Powells only had the 300 engine and had virtually half the lorrydrivers in the area drive it at one time or another.I will try and remember to ask Mervyn the history of it next time I speak to him. Right colour for Trvor Price from Hay on Wye who had red livestock wagons.
Cheers Dave.
Hi Dave , yes i had forgotten Trevor Price and his red TKs , i think he had a AEC Mercury as well , and one of his last wagons was a 8 legger ERF . regards Keith

That’s right Keith. Trevor Pounder who is still driving for Tony Lewis drove the ERF for him. Had a word with Mervyn, he thinks his came from Bulmers originally,as its got green paint underneath the red, also got writing on the chassis. He’s going to upload a pic.
Cheers Dave.
