never drove this one dave i had y5 drn which was a lovely truck ,didnt like the lift up axle on this dave apparentley it was terrible on site,dave rhyde had y4 and moaned everytime i saw him about it.y5 was a 310 and pulled really well and y4 a 290 and didnt,glad i ended up with the right truck :question:

won third prize for best working truck at hereford truck show ,but cant remember the year, think about 2002 :question:

i was based in shrewsbury dave but did make it up to the yard at least once a fortnight,worked out of salop sand delivering to builders merchants before everything had to come in dumpy bags,health & safety ■■■■■■■■.if not on salop work i ran back and two running sand to rmc at bromfield :question:

I didn’t know much about DRN’s motors until KTH bought them.I used to work fork for KTH part time as cpc holder.Got to know Dave just before that happened,very often had a chat with him at the snack van at Letton.I find him a nice bloke.Would have thought he was OK to work for.

i finished working for dave in 2003 just before kth took over,and dave was a great bloke to work for.he had some real decent people working for him a great bunch,dont know how many are still there working for kth :question:

He had a big fleet of Volvo’s then.I didn’t realise how many vehicles he ran until he lent me the pics.Used to see them about but thought there was only half a dozen.Wrong again :laughing:
