Both of you blokes must have been past there loads of times,especially Casey.Its the level crossing house at Onibury on the A49.Between the traffic and the trains,you might change your minds about living there. :laughing:

A Daf XF artic livestock wagon,seen on the A49 at Onibury,Shropshire.

From just outside Llanfair Caerinion (spelling?) this firm, Dave. They used to have quite a fleet of Scanias I think, used to see them about a lot.

I don’t think they are running so many now Cavlad.They used to have about 20 livestock wagons,but only see a few nowadays.

hello Dave now years ago in the field opposite by the farm it was full of old buses the chap who bought them sold the engines for export to China to power house boats so i was told thank you Trevor.

This hap that owns these is an enthusiast I think Trevor.There is also an old showman’s caravan in the background which I think gets pulled by the Scammell.

i was always puzzeled how that chap got his showmans caravan and tractor into the lane by the side of that house,it would be very difficult even for the best of drivers to reverse in off the onibury railway crossing,i am wondering if he drove in and possibly done a lap in the adjacent field then parked it outside the house as that area is a very busy piece of A49.

Took that guy at the crossing house a load of stone a few years ago,said when a freight train goes through in the night at 70 mph hes only 6’ from it. I believe he said that he doesnt have to pay council tax on the property.
He had a load of trouble a while back when Railtrack put some part of a new barrier system in his entrance, if I remember he blocked the entrance or something.Made the Shropshire Star fo a few evenings anyway.
