This was taken on the same day, round about the same place. I was looking around for any wagons I could find to photograph and this FL was parked on a housing estate. Driver must have called home. No name on it but the Malcolm Woodhouse name was just visible on the headboard so I knew where it had come from originally.

Not sure about that one David. tonyb would know,as he lives in Craven Arms.Thanks for posting the pics,they are older than anything I have at the moment.

I would say it is in Hay on Wye David,with the Swan Inn in the background.Good pic.Michael Ball passed away last year RIP.
I think his son runs the business now.

Not many wagons through Hay on Wye David,most travel the A438.Up until the 1980’s Hay on Wye had a lot of local drivers working for South Wales firms,who kept the lorries in the town.Quite a few drove for John Evans,some on changeover.
A couple drove for T D Williams and there were others on for various firms.The park by the visitor centre used to have a lot of lorries in there at nights and weekends.Very rare to see anything other than cars or coaches in there these days.
