Muckaway:
I saw the working F88 had to bring a load to the show again…Poor old girl never gets a break
 Always a favourite of mine :sunglasses:

Hi Nathan,
Didn’t get to meet you at the show. The bloke with the F88 was probably loaded to tip tomorrow,as that is a full time working vehicle which will shortly be featured in T & D magazine.
Cheers Dave.

Nice pics Dave. How many autographs did you give out today?
Looks as if it was a good day for visitors and everyone showing their trucks.

Regards Paul.

I don’t take the pics Paul.Tracy my other half takes the pics while I am looking at the lorries.Did have a chat with Marcus aka Bubbleman and a few other members off these forums, plus several other lorry people I know.It was a brilliant show with good weather to match.
Hope you are on the mend.
Cheers Dave.

Quite a few different vehicles at this show.Haven’t seen this Volvo before.

One looking in good shape, with the Scania missing a few bits.

I always find it strange that there aren’t more of these Daf’s at the shows.

hiya,
The Leyland commercial vehicle museum is a must if in the area,
there’s an old Aki belonging to W H Bowker in there, this was never
my motor but when the regular (driver who was London based and
worked for MAT) was off sick I drove this motor for a week London
to S,Wales tip/load return every day, it only had the 180 Gardner
but ran sweet as a nut and in the words of 240 Gardner is still the
same, when the driver retired (he’s now deceased) he was gifted
the motor and went home from Blackburn to London with it,
although there are many pics of it on here I thought Graham might
have taken a photo of it when he was there but then it may have
been out at a rally or a road run as I said it is in mint condition and
gets a frequent airing.
thanks harry, long retired

Thanks Dave, yes getting stronger every day. Two more weeks until I can drive, five/six to return to work. Start exercise/rehab today.
The autograph statement was a bit tongue in cheek, as you are probably one of the most high profile members along with Marcus, Andrew, Neil and Dennis as quite often there are photos of all of you on here.
Word was Dennis was going down to the show, until you put him in his place last week lol.
Thank Tracy for the great photo’s.

Regards Paul

Hi Harry,
I don’t know how many photo’s Graham took while in the museum.I have been up that way quite a few times, but never stopped at the museum. If I go up there again I will make a point of stopping and visiting the place.Looks a lot of very interesting vehicles in there. We go to Gaydon to the lorry shows, but we never spend time in the museum there,as there is so much to see outside in the show.We will have to take a trip to Gaydon just to see what is in the museum. Not many commercials by the looks of it,but a lot of interesting cars and other stuff. We just glance at then when going through to the area where the model show and cafe are.
Cheers Dave.

This one pictured earlier must be in the middle of being refurbished.

This Scania had a bit of everything with it.

The International tractor must be for feeding the Crocodile with.

Hi Dave

Great pics from a great show  I went with my lad and he was snapping away like a good un so I’ll put some on in a day or two…

Re the museum… Personally I wouldn’t make a special trip just to go in but it’s good to have a look at when I’m at the show - but then I’ve always had more interest in lorries than cars…

A nice looking ERF with some history on the board.

I photographed this one’s sister last week Dave. Still grafting

Hi Paul,
As I say we glance at the vehicles going through the museum, but there is a lot of the big stuff outside,so that is where we spend our time.Same here when it come to lorries and cars.I have no interest at all in modern cars. They lack charactor.
Look forward to seeing your sons pics.He may have got some we failed to get due to the people around them.
Cheers Dave.

Hi David,
There’s always something at these shows that someone can relate to.Must have been in the same fleet at some time.
Cheers Dave.

I thhink this one comes from West Wales.

What time did you get to Gaydon, Dave? I looked for you, went by the Tnet area but after a visit to the chain smoking and swearing model seller I wasn’t in the best of moods so we went. The museum restaurant should have it’s name changed from Junction 12 to Highway Robbery, prices are ridiculous.
