Dave the Renegade:

Not sure what this road mending Volvo FM is for, seen at Bridge Sollars,Herefordshire.
dave, this wagon don’t actually mend the road, its one of wayne johnsons hydroblasters which removes the white line markings off the road surface,it uses high pressure water jets attatched to the front of the wagon and ■■■■■ the waste up the pipes into the box at the rear.

I met the lorry as I was going to Madley from Bridge Sollars. They had a stop and go system going. We got the pic on the way back.It was only after I swung onto that road at Madley that I remembered they were there.Luckily it was parked where we go the pic,so no hold ups.As you say no lines, but he was working when we met it first time.
Cheers Dave.

hello dave. me again. we have this lorry now in our shed being restored… i will post some pictures up of the progress. its currently chassis cab. the lorry was found up in a yard in just outside nottingham by a railway. have always wanted one as they are a great shape and Jukes Transport used to run one also, so what better excuse to buy it, and also its from the right end of the country leintwardine/knighton
the truck didnt look as good in the photos as it does when we got it… but it will get there. do you get to many vintage shows? we were supposed to go bromyard gala couple of weeks ago but with everything else got cancelled with the bad weather.
if your ever up our end (midlands) and want to pop the garage for a brew and a look around at the trucks your more than welcome.

will try again in a little while. we have got welland steam fair next weekend that were going to… are you venturing out there? only taking the TL and the morris J type though as the organisers said that people with more than one exhibit to not take all their vehicles as to give other exhibitors chance to enter the show aswell. all the best. Mike
