A fair old run up to Scarborough Andrew,we went up there about four years ago.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Dave Scarborough isn’t far from here and tonight you could nearly swim there
Chester le Street is flooded we’re OK in my bit living well up the hill out of
town but there will have been some town centre properties well flooded out
one hell of a storm with thunder and lightning around teatime they’ve just
spent a fortune doing work to prevent this but obviously it’s not working,
back to the drawing board methinks.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hi Harry,
There were flash floods not far from here yesterday in several places with several roads closed and a chap drowned near Ludlow.
We had a week near Filey four or five years ago, spent quite a bit of time in Scarborough and Whitby. Also went to heartbeat country at Goathland.Had been there a few times before just for a day.Long trip, but didn’t take long when I had a 2 litre Vauxhall Vectra, also went once in the transit. We have talked about having a holiday back up that way again if I keep breathing,so you never know I could venture up your way.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
More than welcome Dave, the Good Lady and me was in Scarborough last Saturday,
we get to Whitby, the bus to here goes via Goathland, Bridlington and Scarborough
and all for free and at the entrance to the caravan park we use at York, once there
the car doesn’t move again until it’s time to drag the old caravan home again, so no
parking fees or petrol money to find.
thanks harry, long retired.

You have let the cat out of the bag now Harry.Caravan in York and you saying you have no money. All this time you had me thinking that you were an impoverished pensioner.
Seriously I haven’t been to York, travelled past there on my way to North Yorkshire Moors but never stopped.Had a look on the map,it looks about 70 miles from Whitby to Chester Le Street.
Cheers Dave.
