Veteran haulier Dave Morris Leylad Constructor, seen after tipping at Madley,Herefordshire. This six wheeler has a payload of 17 ton, beating the newer six wheelers by 1 ton.
Dave Morris said he had thought about a new lorry, but will stick with this one because of the good payload, plus he has plenty of spares to keep it going.

They are a big company Dave,I saw no end of them on the M6 when I was over a couple of weeks ago.Are they hauliers or own-account operators, they do a lot of wood chip into Chirk I think?

They are hauliers Chris from ■■■■■■■ as far as I know. They run about 400 lorries mainly on Forestry products. They have depots all over, there is one at Newbridge on Wye where this one is probably from, they run woodchip up to Chirk,as they took over the haulage from JPR from Rhayader. One of the sons of JPR is a manager for them down this way.
They were ■■■■■■■ with Stobart on a Forestry job,but I think Stobart bought them out on that side of it.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Chris I used to do wide loads of steel plate out to Appledore in Devon that used to make the bleedin hut movers pull their shoulders in when they saw you coming towards them plus the farmers got their hedges trimmed for nowt there wasn’t a lot to spare on the main part of that route, the load back was OK though usually Ambrosia stuff.
