Fairly close to home Neil. The owner only allowed us to photograph his collection of sixty odd vehicles as long as we didn’t say where.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Had one of these from the Motor show brand new on tanker work many years ago the maker had gone over the top with the chromium plating though inside the cab was like the “hall of mirrors” even the gearstick was plated, nice motor though and with the big Leyland engine it would motor on a bit and well up to 32 tons gross, happy days.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi Harry,
The Chap that owns these motors could resurrect any one of them if he wanted to.He’s a very good time served commercial vehicle mechanic.Like yourself I wouldn’t think washing and polishing is part of his forte with lo rries.

Hi Paul, will do as we will go back as my camera lady only had shorts and sandals on the lower half, which weren’t suitable for scrambling among the nettles.Your mate and mine said come back and have another go.I will try and go when he has some time to give me some more history about them. I did see your Dads old motor, its among the pics.
Cheers Dave.

A Ford D series among the bigger old glories.
