That McGovern one must’ve been one of the last-on a T plate wasn’t it? I heard that cab stayed in production for so long due to Fodens’ money troubles…

C W Griffiths had one on a T plate Nathan, but they never kept it long. The Haulmaster was out on a V plate,as several quarry operators up this way had them.
Cheers Dave.

Dave the Fleetmaster was out on a “T” plate as we had half a dozen at Sykes this is one from bubbs which my mate Gordon had new

Hi Johnnie,
Those S39 Fodens which Nathan referred to were a bit of a throwback to the old design from Foden, they were mainly for the tipper and mixer chassis.
Cheers Dave.

One Atki with an Atki tipper needing a lot of TLC leaving Gaydon.

It was a good show Merfyn,a pity about the weather, but that seems to happen in this country.Hopefully it will get better for some of the other shows.
The quarries this way are very busy. There are lorries from all over the place hauling out of them at the moment, they haven’t enough of insulated tippers.Might be a good time for the hauliers to ask for a rate rise.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Merfyn,
Does that mean that you get an extra 1% each time there’s a fuel increase.I haven’t heard of them having that this way. They had a tate increase of 2% earlier in the year I think. The Tarmac quarries this way are hauling to the M50 and the Newbridge on Wye job, also quite a few other jobs. There are artics from all over back loading, with a lot of 10 mil going to Exeter also Llanwern. They also take a lot of stuff to a railway siding near Hereford where they load it onto trains, that keeps quite a few artics going every day.
Cheers Dave.

Yes Dave. if fuel goes up 3 pence a litre the rates go up 1%. if fuel goes down 3 pence a litre the rates will go down 1%
