I never knew they had mixers. Do you get many 6wheel mixers out your way with an extra lift axle fitted? There’s a hire firm running about around these parts for Tarmac (Haslan?) with this type with sleeper cabs fitted. I presume they have the extra axle to avoid overloads?

Most of the mixers this way have been six wheelers Nathan, but there are a few eight wheeler mixers around now.
Breedon Aggregate are a new quarry firm set up when Peter Tom of Marwyn Materials bought Ennstone-Johnstone who have a quarry at Leinthall in Herefordshire. There weren’t any mixers there before I don’t think, but they have a batching plant there now, with a few mixers. They are also advertising for O/D for mixers and tippers, not the best of times, but I do know of a couple of hauliers putting vehicles into that quarry, they are also seeking the same for Leaton quarry near Telford.
Cheers Dave.
