Welsh Border and Mid Wales Hauliers 1950's onwards

The last few new lorries have been Renaults Nathan, the newest being three Renault Premium artics on 59 plates, which run with three 56 reg which they had after the three eight leggers they had. When I was with them,he bought new Fodens for several years, but I don’t think they have as many vehicles now.
Cheers Dave.

Hi dave at present i run another renault 6 wheel rigid curtainsider yellow in colour it is a 320dci on a04 plate i had to change the x reg renault because of the lez zone, but i miss the power of the 400 engine .but now wehave the new lez comeing in 2012 so if more work comes in for london will have to sort something out again

Will have to watch out for you Ianto,we passed another Premium back down the road from your old one.Wilner Evans from Talgarth with his six wheeler stock lorry,he caught me out,as he now has a red one,as well as the blue he usually runs.
Cheers Dave.

I used to go over there a lot myself Dave, back in the late 60’s early 70’s,still go over there now and again as you can see. It’s a lot different now with the dual carriageways from Hirwaun through to the M4,also the Merthyr bypass and dualed through to the M4 that way as well. But there was more character to the old roads twisting and winding, different day and age  .
Cheers Dave.

One of Hay & Brecon Farmers bulkers, turning into their Brecon depot off the A470.

hiya,
Having to do tipper work on the odd occasion was bad enough having to do it with “two motors” would be rubbing it in a bit don’t you think, now two flats with canny rope and sheets and i might just be available, but the old lady might put the block on it she’s got me putting a new bathroom suite in at the moment got an hour or two break waiting for the floor tiles to set, thats my excuse and i’m sticking with it. :exclamation:
