Welsh Border and Mid Wales Hauliers 1950's onwards

This Foden once of Joint Moterways is seen at most of the shows, and very nice it is.

Taken at Earls Court, Commercial Moter Show 1961.

Have got a few from the familys fleet through the ages. I am in no doubt we have all said,if only we had kept hold of them!![](http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac93/richgriff1/IMG_0001.jpg)Foden Speed Six brand new to my Grandfather. One of his drivers, Les Chilcott told me that Grandad told him, that he and Enoch,Grandads brother and partner. Were to take the train from Monmouth up to Fodens and he was going to steam her back down.He was gutted when, a week before, a driver and mate from the factory arrived in the yard with the Speed Six.He said it was a big blow to a young man.Sorry about picture quality. ![](http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac93/richgriff1/IMG_0002.jpg)Sentinel DG6,three way tipper.Dent in nearside front due to the Waggon letting off steam behind a horse. You dont mess with the back end of a fully shod horse!! A Manchester tipper in the bacground. The only thing in the photo that we still have is the jack.(Not the bedsted I hasten to add).
