As I said earlier it’s just surprised me how much people get their knickers in a twist over something where no harm was done, I expected this thread to unfold into a pile of puns etc, rather than how it has there are far more important things to worry about than two guys having a bit of craic. As for the argument that it does nothing for our image, I don’t care far more serious recent events have tarred us with a bad image.
On a day to day basis the only time the public see a driver out of his lorry is in MSA’s and the sight of a tracksuited tub of lard waddling past them with last weeks dinner down his top and enough grease on his hi-vis to grease the average family car is enough for them to conclude that we’re all neanderthals, so in the scheme of things this event is neither here nor there.
