I remember there were two Bristol tractors in Sothampton , Hampton Park , in 1969 when I joined BRS , I did a trip in one , Bristol also supplied trailers of 30 or 33ft , they were tandem axle with one mudguard covering both axles ., smart outfits they were too .

The trailers of the first 9 sanctions were 24 feet long and 7’6" wide. The lengthe was increased to 26’ with the intro of the 183rd sanction.

I knew we had the Bristol trailers it was only the problem with my lenght .
Ainacs , thanks for the memories , the photos of the Bristols remind me the cabs were big enough to ferry us drivers to the Cafe also .

Here you are Harry and Frenchy found another Bristol a 1961 HA611 tractor unit from a book not sure where or when but obviously it is going on or off a ferry. Hence the British Road Ferry Services Ltd on the headboard. Know anything about it?

I think that british road ferry services ltd was attached to preston depot working out of preston dock it’s certainly a north west motor, bet there’s someone ready to put me right if i’m wrong the old grey matter aint what it used to be, thanks harry long retired.
