Waiting times at rdc's tesco's

RDC’s oh i miss the easy money

Tescos for starters then in no particular order

Tecos’s Hinkley… was great on a saturday afternoon, get the for a 1pm tip, you wouldn’t even get near the bay for in between 3-4 then you’d sit on the bay for another two or three if ya was lucky.

Tesco’s Doncaster… crazy saturdays… guaranteed atleast four hours in their yard.

Tesco’s chepstow,… been sat in there for four hours plus, even on a sunday!!!

Tesco’s Snodland… not too bad down here, i went in with chilled though so like someone has said quite quick of the mark.

Tesco’s Didcot… normally quite quick in here, in and out for under an hour at times.

B&Q RDC’s

Grantham… been sat in there for 3hrs plus waiting on a bay

Preston Brook … minimum 2 and a half turnaround… mind you have been in and out in under an hour.

Chepstow… in and out

Oh the north london one… bugger… can’t think of the name… hour and a half.

The problem is everywhere… all comes down to lack of communication and management. put one in and take one out and we’d be laughing…

I personally do not mind waiting around, the only time i really did get naffed off was at Hinkley (tesco’s) was up there waiting about for nearly 7 hours one saturday afternoon… they’d had a power failure or summat. smiles kaching kaching that weekend.

its not just you boys and girls that do the rdc .us folk that sit at the back door of the store get [zb] about as well.

asda will pull there trucks in front of yours if they turn up after you even if you have a timed delivery window :imp: its also one vehicle in the yard at a time so even if you have say "4 trays of bread"you could be waiting out there for hours.

tescos also there own drivers don’t even have to go up and down on the tail lift and also get all there emptys put on by store staff but outside contractors have to load and unload the tail lift to the door and throw your own emptys on, that are scattered all over the yard :smiling_imp:

Don’t forget, boys and girls. If you are kept waiting for more thah 4 hours after your book-in time, you are entitled, by law, to a hot meal… FREE of charge, at the expense of whichever company is keeping you waiting  . I’m afraid that I can’t quote you chapter and verse, but this came up in a post last year. If you care to look, you will find it.
After 2 hours, you are legally entitled to use of proper toilet and washroom facilities as well. So, when the security Gestapo tells you, “It’ll be at least 2 hours driver, you will have to park on the road, no you can’t use the toilets, no you can’t use the canteen. Those facilities are for employees only”. That is when you demand to see the H & S rep. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Tiggz its called Radlett  and i know what you are saying about the B&Q places but i get paid by the hour so i just try to sleep when i know im going to be delayed…

As Liberace says when you are on agency its a nice little earner i done some agency for Corby Chilled and i loved doing Tesco as i knew i would get at least 3/4 hours intermittent sleep (■■■■■■■ fridges) and get paid for it, I am one who cannot see anything ever being done about it as these companies have far too much power and influence, BUT if there was to be a protest i would quite willingly join in.

Signing petitions does absolutely nothing BUT blocking their gates would certainly make them notice, or blocking all of their checkouts for a long time at a certain store on a certain date;);)…

“or blocking all of their checkouts for a long time at a certain store on a certain date;)…”

Some farmers did this near Oxford recently. At a pre-determined they all arrived en masse and mobed the supermarket (Sainsburys) so that it was effectively shut. Quite a cleaver tactic, hitting the supermarkets where it hurts - in their pockets -whilst doing nothing illeagal!
