wage slips

if you were replying specifically to haggis eater why post

but if the employee requests one every week the employer has to supply it every week

instead of

“if you request one weekly etc”
your reply gives the impression thaty every worker, no matter how frequently paid is entitled to a wage slip every week

and I don’t think there is any need to be insulting, after all I did not insult you, merely questioned your information.

insulting i didnt mean to be but using cap locks in your posts can be a sign of insulting behaviour hense the reason i used it
also i didnt mean to give that impression,my bad

OK, I only used uppercase to highlight the part I was questioning.

No worries mate, still friends!

I would be tempted to use the details from the p60 to make some pay slips. Just incase the tax man came knocking

xamtex:
i had a job years ago that did give me wage slips but i had a letter from the authorities wanting to know why i had not paid tax or ni for 12 months…i had to send them my wage slips to prove my boss had stopped the money…ex boss was prosecuted.

Some years back had a 4 month break from work. I’d quit a job and was given bad advice by the dole office and was told I couldn’t sign for 6 months, so did other stuff to keep me amused and lived off my savings. When I started work again the Tax Office got shirty with the paperwork wanting to know where I had been working and why I hadn’t paid any tax. Took them a while to get convinced I hadn’t actually worked. I even sent them my bank statements to show I hadn’t been getting any money in whilst my savings sank lower and lower…

I’ve recently found out that a decade later they’d written off the £200 of tax and NI I should have paid and my ‘account’ is back to normal again…

And no, I don’t have the paperwork. Anything like that over 2 years old gets shredded now  Except important bits of paperwork clearly

The P60 only tells you what you earnt last year. The OP could ask the tax man if his employer is paying him tax, not sure if the tax man would even tell him but I am sure the OP could even go as far as to request it be looked into. I can see why he wouldn’t want to lose his job, but if the OP had to make his own deductions he’d probably decide that actually, he’s worse off now that his boss has two timed him
