My F89 project is still very much on the go. I am looking to fit and set up a roof mounted air con system [I have the A/C pod for the roof] does anyone know a firm who specialise in this sort of installation?

Hi Rowley nice little collection there a credit to you, I also like the 141 best as they were some beast in there day and I ran several 141’s including two ex Watt’s of Carlisle which I bought at Malcombe Harrisons one Sunday morning as church was cancelled that day.Coming out of Southampton up lances hill with twenty tons I had one that would excellereate with awesome power and in there day those cabs were quite roomy especially on International work , once saw a 140 at Peter Gilders on air suspension at the rear too must have been an early version to be on air, cheers Buzzer.

It has been many years since I talked to his dad John, Would you know how he is ■■?
I go back to when John ran as an owner driver out of Savilles yard in Salisbury when a good night out was with Dave Cox at the High Corner, woops!! Mary Hopkins moment as Buzzer would say.

Sorry for the late reply.i have known John around 15 years,great man a real grafter.Ive not seen him for some time now,he’d recovered from some health issues when I saw him last.As you may be aware?The company are still running VOLVO to this day.I can imagine John in his younger days,I bet you had some great times.

not 100% certain on this, ring Clayton at Shirleys transport cellarhead i think he’s got 2 spare bumpers…you might have to leave your
number so he can phone you back. Clayton restored the extended cab.f 88 unit of pat searles…
