This is the refurbed radiator:

This is the ‘never been fitted’ diesel tank recently delivered to South Wales from Holland:

your welcome mate,

just frustrating i have to waoit to see it, but judging by your other trucks it is going to be 1st class, that Scania is fantastic but would be better if the scania badge was removed. (dont like Scania’s) lol .

How long do you think it is going to take to do up now?

I see a 1950’s Bedford (holden) over here for sale on ebay for $5000 dollars looked in good nick for its age.

Hi all just been up to Banbury and bought a 40 ft spread axle tilt, it needs a lot of work but its all there. Its ex Bowker, got it from Gardner240 on here, very nice person to deal with. I am sure it will look great behind my 89. A long time yet before its all finished but it’ll be worth it.
Regards Rowland.

Hi All
That tilt needs very little work its in cracking shap if I had known it was for sale I would have had it myself.
Cheers Rich.

Now you tell me! It wasn’t for sale, to be honest, but economic conditions are biting ferociously :frowning: Which leaves me with a unit I can’t afford to fettle, and no trailer to go with it. Still, it compels me to unload the car I can’t afford to fettle either. And which I will have to transport home by means I don’t have, into a garage with no room…

I’m very sorry Rich, I’d no idea you were interested in it, and I’d no thoughts whatsoever of parting with it till about 5 days ago, otherwise I wouldn’t have put nearly £400-worth of derv in the Atki!!

Gentlemen
Any pics available to the audience? I am sure there are some trilex-abiding readers on here.
Cheers
Davidoff

ALP61S all stripped out n i bet its still warmer n quieter than a “Borderer” !!!

Running sweet just needs a lick of paint

Was good talking to u the other week:) by the way I’ve had some threaded filler necks made to fit those Volvo caps (picked em up yesterday) so if u want one let me know n I will save u one, speak soon.

Some pics of the chassis further stripped for blasting.
Neil.

A nice original corrosion free chassis there…a good basis for a future show stopper

Nice shots Neil. That’s an incredible amount of work going into this project Rowly. Its going to be another top class motor you will have.

Regards Paul.

To Riverstick’s point, indeed the chassis looks perfectly sound, just a lick of paint and ready. Do you know this motor’s exact history especially when it left cold & wet climates (I imagine it started off somewhere in Holland or similar?), for it to be so healthy?
It will be a remarkable motor judging by your other babies! Only concern might become dry real estate / parking space, especially if after this you go after that Transcon as well…
David

Here goes… lets try to upload more pics of resto… been havin problems !
