we’ve just fitted some fibreglass front axle rear wings to my F10,they not as tough as the steel ones as you can imagine.
windscreen lower scuttle next.that should be interesting.it’s not a restoration, just running repairs. :open_mouth:

Good comments. I will add more pictures soon.

3300John: I took a big chance, and thinking about it today I must be nuts. 225 miles of hoping not to see any cops. I had quite a few looks and thumbs up off older drivers. When I got parked on drive I felt really chuffed, my brother, wife, two sons and two friends waiting to see my pride and joy.
I’ve waited 33 yrs for this day. I’ll keep u all posted, regards, Rowland.

Some more pics…

That’s a pretty decent truck…I get a feeling you’re going to turn it into a minter…keep us updated with progress with loads of pics!

G’day mate,

Good looking old '89,she looks to be in pretty tidy condition.

All the best with doing her up mate.

We did’nt get the f88 or 89’s here,we got G88’s instead. There were G89’s in Australia and a hand full of F88’s.

Interestingly the G89’s were r/h drive and yep the motor was on a lean like the F89’s I’ve never seen one with the cab up to see what they did with the gear linkages. I do know of a bloke who imported one from Australia and when I go and see him I’ll get some pics of it with the cab up.

Anyhow,I was in Corfu last year and came accross this very tidy '89 6x2 tanker still working. The owner was a real nice bloke,he spoke very little English and my Greek streches to next to bugger all,but we got on great and talked about his old truck for about half an hour over a coffee.

Hi NZ Jamie, how are you? I’ve never seen the cab over on an 89 before either, I will tomorrow though, I hope cab pumps ok. That 89 tanker looks nice. I’ll keep you informed on progress, slowly slowly.

Hi, ref. F89 rear anti roll bar- yes they did have them .I am slso in the process of restoring an F89 which has one fitted.Ill put some pics on for you lads to look at.I am also looking for parts n may have some parts to trade or swap. Thanks Dave.

This shot shows the rear anti roll bar…note ive fitted new bushes and collars.

Scrapper, wasn’t that one laid up in Somerset a few years ago?

This is a pic of when it belonged to White Trux of Dover and used to be driven by a chap called Tony Buckle on Middle East work.

Yes i believe it was, i have heard that off a couple of people although i bought it off a guy in Bedford. I have got some history on it but am still missing a few years, still cant seem to find any details about Joyce and son ?

This is a pic i believe of when it was laid up in somerset

ALP 61S was bought new by Pacific Intermountain Express (PIE International) it was one of handfull bought for Middle East work and were fitted with the me pack-cooker, fridge, sink air con etc. Here is a pic of the interior of one of them (could be mine), it was taken at the factory before they were shipped to the uk.
