Hey, 50 tonners in the Nederlands.but they have no montains.
Here a lot were used as 38/40 tonner and even at that weight they did wel, much better as Scany’s 80/86 series.
One of the best Volvo’s at its time.Eric,
You forgot about that massive mountain in Limburg! Robert

Hey Robert, oh yes and it is a long climb, but if you stay a bit under Maastricht on B roads there a lot of them.
All very short but heavy if you just come out of a bend, and most are over 8 to about 16%.
That was the test climb (Kruisberg) for the Dutch lorry magazine, but some decenniums back they had to move,
it became to flat for the new ponies.
And don’t forget, look at de descent,a Telma is a must.
Eric,
My uncles F86 he got this one new. No twistlocks at that time so containers were chained on.
Hello everybody,
This is my precious, I am in France (near Verdun) and go near Goteborg in Sweden to collect it.
Du to some bearings problems with my recovery truck on return road, unfortunatly i have to unload my Volvo F86 in Poland (at my parents Farm).
It is a 1976 Volvo F86-30.
With what seems to be a TD70E and R50 gearbox, on totaly dead 11R20 tyres
Does anybody know if R19.5 Wheel mount on brake drums? Pretty easy to find R19.5 tyres, pain to find R20.
Many to do, but engine/gearbox/rear end are Good.

Loading it near Dalum in sweden

are you not a tad overweight ?
10.00 R 20 tyres are slightly easier to obtain which would go straight on your existing wheels. You stand a better chance of finding tyres in Poland than France I would think. What are the design axle weights on the manufacturers plate?

Image showing 16500 kg GVW and 34000kg GCW
10R 20 16 ply are rated sufficiently for 16500 kg. 6100 front 10900 rear. 11R20 16 ply are rated 6610 and 11600. Alternatively go for 22.5 tubeless rims for conical wheelnuts which will give you a choice of sizes.
My Dad drove a brand new f86 in 1976 (NAA 245P) for Indesit out of Southampton. Have been looking for over 20 years for a picture of it to be on the internet somewhere!

I would like to know if R19.5 wheels fit.
Cause i need to gain a few cm height to get it park in the garage so prefer r19.5 instead r22.5.
Hi
No they wont go over the drums
Has it got small centres peculiar to Volvo or later standard centres
Cheers
Rich
