Mate if you can get a service exchange or complete good second hand ‘V’ stay it will life a whole lot easier.
I worked as a fitter with a Volvo dealer for seven years and even with the correct service tool and a press those ‘V’ stay bushes are a real bugger to fit.

Good luck mate.
I’ve done them before & they are a dog to fit, Volvo can still supply them but I’m still waiting on a price for a spurious one, my biggest problem is finding a new battery box, we’ve got a scrap FL10 in the yard with a very good one but they’re slightly different & I would like to keep some originality.
I’ve already got a new footvalve, rear wings, new batteries & 2 king pin sets.
Yet to decide on drag link end, ■■■■ up (polymer injection) or a new one. I wouldn’t usually get a ■■■■ up done but as it’s not going to work I might just try it. We had a JCB loadall 4 wheel steer done in a place round the corner as it’s got about 10 of them & all were knackered!!! & over a year later it still seems to be fine.
Hi
Been looking for this truck as i used to drive it between 1998-2000, all three were bought by the same firm and then you bought my old truck. I have a few pictures and hope to fill in some of the blank year ? Garry
