I’m sure this has been discussed on here before 
I believe the trailer itself is something like 38’, which would keep the whole outfit under the 54’ overall limit.
If you look at the rear of the trailer the 40’ bolsters fold in, or out to accept a 40’ container.
As the container forms the load and you are allowed an overhang of x feet before markings are required, this is fine!

I was with 1 of Gibbo’s in Drax before Christmas, He had a 55 reg on a tipper, He opened the drivers door and inside was FILTHY! What a waste of a nice new truck if thats the same fella.
