suppose would be pointless applying anyway coming from Southampton and the company is based in ireland.

It wont matter where they are based because you wont be going there often

Have your interview over the phone then maybe go there once to pick a truck up when you start, that’s if they don’t send you somewhere else to pick up one that has been dumped.

That’s the whole point in working for an oirish company, you hardly ever get back to “base”…yours or theirs!!

Is that how its works, working for an irish company? Sounds like quite a tidy set up. Where would you park the lorry over the weekend?

LOL,didn’t see a smiley at the end so can only believe this to be an honest question.Well bad news matey, because chances are you don’t get to park anywhere on the weekends,or week days for that matter.
Take a gander at some of Switchlogics videos, you’ll witness the early signs of serious "cab fever"setting in,He already has a split personality with Legoman, and before you know it you’ll be sharing your inner thoughts with Bertie Bassett.
Good times■■?,

It’s got to be a tough job on Virginia! Weeks away at a time! If single and no kids then knock yourself out! But for me! I’m out! One week away is enough for me! Just!

Of course they won’t give you the job over the phone It’s an expensive bit of kit you’re driving and they don’t seem like a mickey mouse company to me so they’re going to want to vet you properly.

Not sure why Switch does not have a bicycle to get away from his cab, does he sit in the cab for 45 hours off?He could take the wheels off to fit it in the cab,or place it behind the cab, mine used to go in the back of the trailer, for a fridge load, full to the back, that could prove tricky to fit it in with the frozen peas up to the back door.

All those VT trailers @ Coors are from Quinns Glass, Elton, just off J14, M56, not Ireland :open_mouth:
It looks to me like Eddie Stobart has lost out on this job to VT, most of the ESL drop trailers seem to have gone, and, VT now have the job…not too sure how they are making it pay, as they seem to have a lot of tractors parked up all over the place in Burton everynight, waiting for empties :open_mouth:

Although TBF, it looks like they are now loading out of the NDC, so, prehaps the game plan is coming together, tip @ the brewery, wait for an empty, rub across town, and re-load @ the NDC :bulb:

removed

i dont want a job there but i wouldn’t mind one of their wooly / beanie hats

frankybaby:
removed!

You appear have just advertised them…so er.

looks like the mods have got to sort another muppet out. grow up son :unamused:
