At least he had the good sense to run one of these (depending on the driveline of course!)
One of three identical ERF C series I bought in 1982 Gardner 8LXC / Fuller 9509 box/ Eaton drive axle .Excellent drive line in my opinion others may disagree ! But they gave faultless service while they were on the BTS fleet so my choice of unit was vindicated I believe
