Sorry mate, registered in BG, you are flip flop
P.S. In Cyprus its even hotter, so flip flops its exactly right
P.S. On that note and considering the thread title, today was temperature record since temperature is recorded, 24,2C, 10 days ago was 22 below zero.
absolutely outrageous,no sat nav,i once nearly refused to take a lorry out because it did not have electric windows, disgusting i thought, having to manually operate windows, what was the world coming to,seriously though i reckon this guy was a muppet,if i met a driver like that and he explained why he left my reply would be along the lines of[sarcastically i might add] MY GOD WHAT ABSOLUTE BXXXXXXS,EXPECTING YOU TO TAKE A LORRY OUT WITHOUT SAT NAV, lol
The guy sounds a complete ■■■■ end, he will be one of those that expects his firm to wipe his arse for him.
‘’ I can’t get tipped what shall I do, ‘‘I’ve got a trailer bulb out what shall I do’’ ‘‘Which way do I go’’ They think Initiative is a Foreign mid fielder.
Never make drivers as long as they have a hole in their arses
He was a driver with 30 yrs experience, regular night worker and most of our units have factory fitted sat nav, but a few are non functional for various reasons.
This was after I had spent 25 mins going through his run with him, showing him exactly where his delivery was, and the reload was.
Anyway…to top it off, another new driver decided to lose the plot and physically attack another one of our drivers this morning in a row over the diesel pump. Unfortunately for him he picked on our resident martial arts fighter and promptly had the ■■■■■ kicked out of him!

LOL, this is a lot better than EastEnders!
On what planet does a driver who is getting paid while waiting his his turn, get so upset that he needs to pick a fight?

Planet Earth.
The Aliens have this question in their spaceship travel version of trivial pursuits. It’s considered an easy question. Along with one about inventing a type of bomb that could destroy all the race. Classics like that really.

As thread title says,Unbe ■■■■ lievable.
30yrs experience? I was imagining a young new lad wet behind the ears. How can someone with all that under his belt be so ■■■■■■ feckless.
No offence mate but you should be a bit more selective with your drivers.

He was a new driver robroy, you can take them out on an assesment, have a chat with them, but sometimes until they’ve been with you a few weeks, you don’t really know how they are going to pan out.
We had one a few months ago, putting him through his training and it was up at Wakefield and booked with a hotel. Trainer changed it to Warrington, no biggie, though I couldn’t cancel the hotel. So day before he goes off, the guy in the office, shows him on the Autoroute where the new training centre is ( Appleton Thorne) and the new hotel ( J10 M56 ), couple of miles from each other. Gives him the new joining instructions and hotel booking. Where does he end up …Wakefield. I don’t know what more you can do but show them on a map where things are. He only lasted a few months.
Dolph:
This cant be true, he must be flip flop EE driver
On the serious note, thats a joke of an excuse, not heaving sat nav, not being auto truck, what has become of UK trucking…
One question, guys, do you get correct directions for your drops from your dispatch■■?
lol like your tongue in cheek answer after all I have never seen a foreign lorry with ‘a’ satnav in, that is because they usually have two or three
I think he simply not accept route what you give him or simply want go home for some reason.I know one drivers who don t like drive Volvo. If planners give him Volvo ,that he all the time found some mystic fault-seat wrong ,seat belt no good and more.If planers give him some some he as well can refused because busy road there .He is with 40 years experience.

Hahahaha that reminds me of the Russian dash cam crash compilation on youtube.
Hey mate, are you sure you are not working in EE by any chance
No wonder there is driver shortage, good drivers I mean. After reading the last comments Im starting to understand why British employers get/want EE drivers, no offense to you guys but:
British drivers - refuse to drive without sat nav, manual, cant get to the right place after detailed briefing, refuse to drive Volvo truck, trying to beat a colleague. Man what is next?

■■■■■… you should be used to this!
Having worked at “pink” would have seen you see worse than this…on a regular basis!
I have to admit this thread is great fun - especially seeing as it really doesn’t say much for the full timers out there that a driver like this not only worked first on agency but suitably impressed enough to be given a full time job.
yep isn’t being a full timer great
I still stick to my there are awful drivers all over the place at the moment full, part, agency.
What I’d love to know is what sort of wages are attracting the cream of the industry to this firm?
It seem to me that not many firms consider that attracting the right sort of people to their company is important, it’s just a bum on a seat.
So I’d also love to know how much money is wasted by employing idiots, and whether that money could be better spent on wages that attract a better class of driver to the job.
not a chance evil - the really decent companies will have drivers in dead mans shoes style. plus as I am sure you have found out, there are a whole heap more idiots out there than professionals (unfortunately).
For those who like “Routine”… how does it grab you when your yard has but one single job - but you keep getting asked to do it at a different time every damned day, on the day?
…Would you expect Agency “Premium” for all the buggering about?
A job is a job is a job - except when it’s not for the time you went in for…
