Taskman:
Looking at that Atky cab of ‘Killingbecks’ it looks like it is ready for another 100,000, I think alot of our baby drivers would be cringing at the thought of working for that task master from Blackburn.
Unfortunately, it won’t do another 100000 miles in that state!
The majority of it was not worth saving and is now living in a landfill site somewhere! The rest is sat in my garage awaiting some TLC!
I would like to add Foden S80 to this list. Theres one in this months classic and commercial vehicle magazine going free to whoever collects it for spares in the Essex area. Remember those great big headlights and mish-mash of windows. Ugly but also strangely beautiful in a way.

Also a leading contender for “Biggest cab / least amount of room inside” competition, but my ugliest truck vote still goes to the Spanish Dodge, winner of the “Spot more smoking on the hard shoulder than actually on the road” competition.

I loved the Spanish Dodges I drove and never had an ounce of trouble.
The Jelcz from Poland or the last of the Renaults to use the club of four cab, they kept nailing bits to the bottom of the doors as the cab was mounted higher, what a monstrosity
There are so many trucks that are just plain ugly, but this truck has to be the worst. It’s the Kenworth CBE (cab beside engine) from the mid 1950’s.
I vaugely remember these rolling atrocities still being used when I was a kid, and they were just as ugly in person as they were in these pictures.
They were cheap, so companies likes them, but drivers hated them. I know it doesn’t make much sense, but later versions actually had 2 seats (one behind the other), and a sleeper, like this version:
So, is there anything uglier over there? Perhaps some old Russian truck??

Well, at least ungainly, if not actually ugly was the Atkinson Viewline (see the pics section for one under the title "Big A, Proper Wagon). I owned the one in the pics for 19 years and loved it to bits, but could never claim that it was beautiful to look at!
Still, as my Mother says “A beetle is beautiful in the eyes of its mother!”

Enough people took a photo of it so they must think it was beautiful!
