I don’t want to take this thread off topic but just for the record, removing a post from TN does not remove it from the internet, I won’t say in this thread how because it’s not my place to educate the OPs bosses but anyone who knows how, which is probably tens of millions of people, can still read the original post, in fact I’ve got it up in another browser tab as I’m writing this.If you don’t want someone to read what you write on publicly accessible internet forums the best way is to NOT post it in the first place

Ok, I vented out loud in a post, it was pointed out that I could get in to trouble over said post, i don’t necessarily agree but I decided it would be better to remove the post.
I think some people are being a bit paranoid as I don’t attribute that much intelligence to the people that post was aimed at (not drivers) but people being people I can see how it could be used against me.
I didn’t say anything in the post that I wouldn’t be entirely comfortable saying to those it was aimed at as the problems are real.
I apologise to anyone who might have been offended on this forum

It’s been my experience in life that you should never underestimate your “opponent”, so while you might not credit them with much intelligence, you should not underestimate their interest in covering their own butts and giving grief to someone dishing out a public slagging - though even if only half of what you said was true then they rightly deserve the criticism, so I’m not knocking you for venting.
It doesn’t take much effort to ID who you work for, your employers describe themselves as “one of the largest privately owned transport companies in the UK” so I’d wager ‘a monkey’ that they will have a social media policy, and if it’s similar to others SMPs I’ve seen, it will say there are consequences simply for talking about the company online without “approval”, regardless of whether that content is good or bad. If I were you I’d give fewer clues in my postings.

I certainly ain’t paranoid. nor offended, but just a bit ■■■■■■ with your attitude.
I was merely pointing out as one driver to another that your post could come back and bite you on the arse with your company after basically slagging them off publicly, which imo was a bad move.
You clearly pointed out who you work for (and not for the first time) you clearly stated your name despite your objections to that.
So to come back at me telling me I was threatening you,.and that I was speaking crap, or ‘trash’ as you said, …but even so then go on to take my advice by removing your post despite that, was a bit rich tbh.
Then to dig deeper by being all cool, nonchalant and blase’ about it all, giving it… ‘my job is safe thanks’’ and ‘‘I don’t necessarily agree I would get into trouble’’ then to imply I am paranoid is a bit of a ■■■■ take, not to mention an insult to MY intelligence.
I don’t normally take this forum so seriously, nor bother my arse what people say or imply to me, but you just rubbed me up the wrong way on this.

Oh, they do deserve the criticism. They very rightly do. I’ve worked for them, directly employed and subbed, and they are always pushing for unrealistic schedules, expecting drivers to bend the rules, to get the job done.
Gregorski can call themselves anything they like, it wont change the fact that they treat, and pay, their staff abysmally, undercut the competition to take their work, and consequently bollox up the work, because they didnt cost it properly, and dont have the trucks/trailers to do the work.
And of course there are many other companies doing the same, heck, it has been the industry standard for probably the best part of 25-30 years. It is one, if not the main, reason why the general haulage industry is in the swamp that it is.
They don’t have a presence up here (TTBOMK), but we have our own companies who fulfil the niche you described

Like you said, bosses can be clandestine TN members too, and he wasn’t hiding who he worked for at all, so “teacher” could well have been reading along with the rest of us. Possible, but not as likely as them trolling FB where people are less inclined to be restrained about what they say.
