Nah, we abandoned that plan after the year when there were two beer vans - we went to one and everyone else went to the other. We’d said the one nearest to the shop which was all well and good in theory but fell apart in practice when they moved the shop to between the two beer vans. :blush: :blush: :blush:

Last year we named a place then went to a beer van as a mob. It worked. :wink:

the TruckNet UK meeting place will be at the Lady trucker’s Stand at 1-2pm Sunday
After the initial “Who the hell are you” type formalities we will probably adjourn to the nearest beer selling emporium for the traditional slagging off of Rikki

We will not be coming this year. I don’t think I could face all those heaps of scattered waste and the accompanying smells. But I hope you all have a good time.

However, one thing does spring to mind,

Sam, me , and the kids will be there for the weekend with the truck. Just look for 2 fh12’s and a FM12 rigid powder tanker in Tarmac colours and you’ve found us :smiley: :smiley:

Will be going on the Sunday and helping out on the Driverhire stand for a couple of hours.

i’ll be there once again with my truck, i’m meeting up with some of the online truckers members and we will be trying to park together like last year.
i will have to locate my johnny name plate again and stick in the window so everyone will know when they see us together that they have reached a sometimes friendly area.
as usual all will be made welcome etc.
i will also be helping out john at justice for drivers for a few hours each day and at some point my boss will be along to see how the polish is being put on etc.
(note to self - remember spare overalls and marigolds for him).

so if your looking for a friendly face to put a name to then look for a wjite topline 470 on a 54 plate, a white volvo fh12 in tarmac colours and a pawson volvo all parked together with a toby (toby is a camper van belonging to old bird.

Looking forward to seeing you all at THE LADY TRUCKERS STAND NEXT SUNDAY. You are going to be opposite the new (last year ) beer emporium so you wont have far to walk for a glass or two of POP.

Last year there may have been rubbish in some areas on the site, but we keep a good clean pitch with black trash bags for all to use . Could be because we are so close to restuarant that we get garbage collected regularly and the area is fairly clean.

I might be there on Sunday if I get chance. Wasn’t expecting to be over but I have a funeral on Friday and will be flying back out on Monday. It will be my first time have tried to get over the last few years with out success so i will kick myself if I miss it again.

I was going tomorrow, but listening to the Chris Evans show this week I heard that very annoying traffic woman is going on Sunday so I decided to give it a miss. Might go Monday instead.
