I think this year there will be alot of new prize winners nick,longthornes and malcolms have been splashing the cash and that avatar scania has been sold on ,to be fair i was more sick of seeing that avatar scania than i was the astrans scanias :unamused:

While I like going to shows I really can’t be bothered with all the ■■■■■■■■ about winning stuff.
I too think it’s a bit fixed,i know of one firm that has very close links to a judge,there trucks are smart but nothing special so I’m watching to see if they win anything.

this is one reason i get put off taking mine, they look the muts nuts when you stand back but start going over them with a tooth comb there is the odd scratch some stone chips and some rust on the wing stays

but it is theborignal piant on the red one with 1.2m km’s on the clock and the black one is at least 9 yr old paint work and both work day in day out

not like some that have new wheels, new plastic trims just for the shows

£50 quid to look at trucks for a family of 4 without paying £8 for a burger and £5 for a drink.

I remember a previous firm of mine who entered the “flagship” truck in best working truck catagary,it came 3rd but the truck only did about 300k a day.compared to the winner that was a full on general haulsge motor.
I love a clean motor but to take a truck off the road for a few days to enter a show makes it unfair when some motors don’t.

day’s its been known for a truck to visit a spray booth before attending and been off the road at least a month.

Joe sharps trucks have all been in for a full chassis resprays.
