when the legends are at Truckfest for example the visitor number shoots up,

Trustred:
Did you watch Jenko last night btw? He was saying they haven’t been invited to Truckfest yet this year,

You would have thought that if they were such an attraction, the company running Truckfest would make sure they were invited and advertise the fact on their promotional information.

The company running it has changed this year, Jenko was saying about it last night on his vlog (you would know this if you watched it)

Why on earth would I watch another truck driver in my spare time, unless they were doing something amazing, which if Jenko is another like Luke and Jay I would very much doubt?

Its not that I have anything personal against them, as far as I’m concerned the best of luck to them, just I have no interest in the vacuous Z list celebrity culture they represent.

Even if the promotional company has changed they’d still know what attractions would be top of their list to get as many punters in as possible.

Took the words right out of my mouth. If I wanted to watch a video on a trucking legend, I’d stick a camera in my cab and watch it back later! But since I already live the job, I have no interest in watching other people doing it. And I guess theres the key, these videos arent for the likes of us. They’re for the spotty yoof and wannabes, the easily led who believe everything they see on the interweb is real.

I was talking to a mate of mine who has young kids. They’re obsessed with the bloody internet. He even offered to take them out somewhere to do something interesting and they could record it and put it on their own youtube channel. But they couldn’t be bothered. Watching other people do stuff takes no effort.

They do amazing stuff, it’s well worth a watch.

Jenko yesterday had a car hit him, this was very interesting and it showed Jenkos caring nature as he really felt bad for the young lad who hit him.

Kev Tee uploaded today, another amazing video of him in London dealing with bad traffic and unhelpful staff at the place he tipped.

I’m neither a spotty youth, easily led or a wannabe.

I just recognise very entertaining videos from larger than life personalities

When I said amazing I was more thinking of something like Destination Doha or maybe a tour of Russia or driving in the far north of Scandinavia during winter or maybe the mega abnormal loads.

Not driving round London, seriously that’s not amazing, I assume you’re either taking the ■■■■ or don’t actually drive a truck?

Lordy you lads get taken in way too easily

Bet the footage of him filling out the paperwork was thrilling.

“The form says use black ink and capitals, but I’ve only got a blue pen! This is a major headache, but I’m a trucking legend, I can solve this crisis!”

No, but you know what Jenko said?

“Bits of metal can be replaced, human lives can’t”

That’s depressing, the extent of your ambition is to emulate somebody delivering goods to London or having a minor shunt.

So you ARE a wannabe.

Look, I dont mean to be lairy. I’ve had a few ciders and become bit of a four can van damme! If you wanna be a lorry driver, go for it. But dont think for one minute its endless excitement. If you do your job properly, drive in an appropriate manner and take a bit of pride in what you do, the most exciting part of your day is getting an awesome kill streak on call of duty mobile whilst you’re waiting to be tipped in tesco.

I’m with switch. Although I nearly believed it when I read this: “Luke was great, he showed me around his truck and let me honk his horn.”

No I’ve never fixed fridges, I wouldn’t know how to.

What’s that mean anyway?

All I am is a huge fan of the Legends

I believe you on both counts, however narcissistic that might make you.

If I had a youTube channel and I thought people were avidly watching a bloke collecting and delivering forklifts - “oooh look, Tims had to use the winch today”, I would utterly despair at the empty existences the viewers must have.

But still I must be a legend because I go out everyday and come back again, not having broken anything, looking after the truck, being everywhere on time as much as possible, being polite, not getting involved in road rage and keeping a clean licence.

I’m in good company, though - 98% of the guys and gals on here do exactly the same.

It’s just we don’t need some media validation.
