  1. Petrol tankers
  2. ISO Containers.

    .

Agency drivers who can and have driven all manner of trucks is position #1.

The drivers that did middle East will always be top boys,in my eyes.
Then international drivers.

Those ice road truckers are pretty hard-core aswell

Seems to me a lot of that is playing up to the TV cameras though

Hello all

I had this brilliantly weird thought in my never ending free time on my breaks… How would you draw up the hierarchy triangle of truck driving jobs starting from the worst on the bottom to the best on top? An example being…

  1. ADR (petrol ) jobs Monday to Friday
  2. Supermarket deliveries
  3. General haulage day jobs
  4. General haulage tramping
  5. Skippers
  6. Car transporters
  7. Animals
  8. Agency miscellaneous

Or something similar…

I know my list I’d like to read yours

  1. Shunters

Lets face it they’re the only drivers that can actually reverse and whether you admit it or not you’re all jealous when you watch them :sunglasses:

There was a shunter sat his C&E at the same time I done my C. It was his 7th attempt and he failed.

Perhaps if they’d allowed him to sit his C&E in reverse, he’d have passed with no minors

What’s a C+E?

just kidding, passed mine first time (as I did with all tests I’ve taken) in 2006, I’m not a shunter who cannot go out on the road I’m a shunter who doesn’t need to if I don’t want to

Ahh tbf the 1st and 2nd seasons were really good, then it went to the Dalton highway with Carlile transport (which was again still pretty good) then imo the show went a bit downhill from season 5 on, they’re on season 11 now…

Destination doha though
