Everyone seems really hung up on the loss of jobs, the main benefit I can see is the environmental one around a 50% saving in diesel hence the same in CO2 too. The industry continues to grow i cannot see it causing a massive job loss in the industry
You could only use that on Motorways and thats about it
We have tripples in some states here but they can only be used on interstate highways.

It is the old argument though, there are already too many lorries on the road for the amount of good paying traffic. Tesco will still want their beans delivering for 200 per load and companies will still do it.
DHL, Stobart, Maritime and ND have the biggest allocation of ELV, they are not the supreme saviour of the transport industry. How much more are they charging for 4/8 extra pallets?

The driver won’t be a different one from an agency everday though and probably owned the outfit himself which is a big incentive to drive carefully.
PLUS a couple of hours delay is not the end of the world. Try telling that to the goons in department

Yes and they moved once a week to the next village generally. You can probably count the number of registered showmans vehicles on a crib board.
I cant see why b doubles aren’t used here there is a site in NZ. Xtrucking.com which has loads of photos and the roads look to be worse in places than ours and they don’t seem to find them a problem. Eddie.
