That’s the safest place for them, stored away ,I recently tried to get some out that had been rammed in a tangled mess ,after much pulling ,tugging ,swearing under my breath ,they finally came loose with one last hard pull ,whack
hit straight above the eye ,blood everywhere ,
,one embarrassed driver trudging too the t.o to get patched up ,blood everywhere

Best place for them is tucked into bags on the barn doors. A lot of modern trailers seem to be coming fitted with these thankfully. Drivers still insist on shoving them into the headboard in a tangled mess though
I inherited that trailer this morning, the annoying thing is-the straps were stowed properly, but the the Forklift Chimps were too lazy to release them & leave them hanging over the first pair of pallets. [emoji85][emoji86][emoji87][emoji205]
Difficult to see from the pictures but are those ‘proper’ straps suspended from a framework in the roof that you pull down and over the load or are they ‘internal’ straps attached to the roof? They appear to be ‘proper’ straps.
It is hard to believe how dense some of the loading staff can be - but they don’t have to drive it do they?
Always good that just make them take it all off so you can get straps out, it’s the only way they learn.
Yep…make them take it off

Yep, Ratchet Straps, 13 in each of our new (ish) trailers, although some have been ripped out, suspended on tensioned wires running down each side of the trailer, great for double stacked pallets, but a bit of a PITA on low/single pallets, you have to loose a lot of slack under the trailer on the hook side or the ratchet gets caught in the suspension wires.
I’ve always got Belly Straps in the side cupboards, but I was just pointing out some of the Chimpanzee Behaviour of our Forkies. (Spelt with a W & followed by a couple of Anchors [emoji108])
Boils my p!ss when you get to a preloaded trailer the straps are at the back and secured out of the way but one is caught under the last pallet and to rub it in its the 8th strap and you have 12 pallets on!! Yank and pull for 5 mins or so and then as previously mentioned get a whack in the face!! Gleaming!!
