Has anybody successfully managed to use a 64gb card in the DP200?

No, but I’ve not yet felt the need to use a bigger card. Mine keeps 2 hours worth. How ling do you want your recordings to go back?

I want at least 8hours like I used to get in my previous dash cam using the same card.

My firm have installed road hawk with 16gig card and it overlaps recording which lasts about 36 hours. Very handy when parked up!

36 hours on a 16gb card? Thats got to be some poor quality camera resolution or its taking still frames every 5 seconds.

+1. Never heard of 36h…

About 36 hours. Good playback quality it’s constant recording in 20 second clips, when full it overwrites the earliest clips and so on. There is also an ‘event’ status which is never overwritten and that is automatic if the camera senses a bump or collision. Good camera I think.

Me and a mate got he DP200 at the same time , mine is still working spot on but his stopped working last week , tried a few different leads in it and it’s the camera that is nackerd (won’t turn on) , the only conclusion we came to was he used to leave his on 24hrs except weekends , but I would of thought a camera could of managed to stay on as much as that? But then again what do we expect for £80 , he got his from amazon and they said send it back and give him a full refund wich is fair

I’ve got the same one and can’t fault it , brilliant for the price would recommend to anyone

Brave chap, a positive comment about a Stralis

Nice quality for a dash cam, does the live screen show speed and GPS coordinates? shame they are not imprinted on the video if it does.

It doesn’t have GPS inbuilt so won’t record your speed or position.

The problem with speed embedded on the video is that you might incriminate yourself.

what a ■■■■ you are Juddian
To state I have a Dashscam but don’t want to incriminate myself BUT WILL TRY
to incriminate others
your a grass, a snitch,

You feeling quite well?

Please point out where i’ve said i use a dashcam to grass people up, or do you have the wrong person maybe?

Take your time…

I was thinking more in the event of a situation you may be able to show the footage to a cop there and then rather than them have to do do an analysis of your tacho card ■■? it is all on there no, cover your bum !! incriminating yourself? no you don’t have to share it with them but…

Yes and that’s exactly why you’d have one, however it could muddy the waters somewhat even if you’re totally in the right if the footage for example clearly showed you on the limiter on a single track road, you might end up on a speeding charge or held to blame when some blind twerp pulled out on you, hoisted by your own petard.

Anybody know what length the supplied power lead is? Can you mount camera on top of screen and run lead around headlining to dash socket?

It’s fairly long and you should be able to do that which you wish.

It is long enough to do that with a car. I’m not sure if its long enough for a truck. I mount mine at yhe bottom of the screen in the truck which would give you plenty spare.

Thanks for replies. Was worried about it causing a blind spot if mounted on lower part of screen. Thought if I could mount it high, I could fit and forget about it being there. Going to order one anyway, and report back.

I’m now selling mine if anyone knows anyone interested…
