Incidentally, I’ve been spotting transam trucks all week. Seen one going in and out of our yard and another has been parked up down the road. It turns out there’s a stage company called “brilliant stages” or something along those lines, which is around the corner from out yard and they’re using part of our warehouse for storing their gear. They’ve got some very peculiar looking constructions for U2’s forthcoming tour, sections of a tower in the centre of the stage, or so I am told. They were shipping stuff out to Barcelona. Although I’m not much of a U2 fan, I’d love to be doing the driving!

i am now sat in barcelona think there has been 8 trucks leaving hitchin with stuff, we had to take it back as it was wrong!
the stuff in the smit truck was extra p.a gear on its way back to switzerland, so no shows were lost luckily

Saw one lonesome unit and trailer on the a14 yesterday about a mile off the m11 interchange, from my short sharp last glance think it was an 09 plate

we went down the same road that the smit motor went over we were going to bergen on springsteen tour
where the eagles played. we went down 2 days later and saw wear it went over. the road is a very nastie
road. where when you meet another lorry you omly just miss each others mirrors, 3 of the trucks on our tour
lost there mirrors and they were all being double driven.we had allready heard about the smit truck.

Was on Carlisle services early hours mon morning, woke up from me snooze to see three of them going out, but they were oldish units pulling them, 2 white mercs and a yellow ERF, heading north.

that would be the BGT tour… the two mercs arnt that old… 56 and 57 plates. the erf is slow off the mark but she pulls like a train once up and running. the only time you wont see those 3 in convoy is on sunday night as the ERF if been double driven to aberdeen and the other two arnt…
