Beautiful!
And this is one I bought new from the MTB showroom. It took twelve months of my Saudi lolly to pay for it! I take it out on Sundays and sunny days. (Much to the joy and happiness of my beloved!!!)

Talking of doing cars up, you might like the picture of my one and only attempt as a callow youth, many moons ago. ( I haven’t changed a bit have I Ron?)

Funny old world Merlin. If you still had the MG, it would probably be worth more than the Chrysler now!

You’re right, you haven’t changed a bit.

(You know my address for the cheque…)

John

Cheque’s in the post! It probably applies to us all ie if we had kept all the cars we have owned in the past, in a barn somewhere, we would be sitting on a nice pension pot… MG TC; MGB; Daimler SP250, to name but three, would probably now be something approaching £50,000 give or take.

Martin you are a one with words ? I have to keep referring to the dictionary , for the explanation .of some of your phrases !! I am a little" disappointed "! That you did not comment on my earlier and much revised word for Saudi money! this shows that nobody really reads the in depth writing !! When I try to bring a smile to all our faces !!! See Sat. July 25 referring to pay out Ron

Hey Ron …I saw a reference to FLOOS but spelt Phalous …Mafi floos now though ■■?

Mah Salaam …from " Abah Ha,mahmah " ( spelling??)… before the KSA I used to keep racing pigeons while out there I was going to try to get pigeons to home back to Jeddah from the desert but gave it away as to hard … so got the nickname from the Saudi drivers …I have checked the translation and it meant "Father of the Birds " It was on my bumper bar for a while …did worry it meant something else!!! but used to get good reception in the port out here in Aus I used to pick up tyres from a middle eastern gent and was telling him and from then on that was all he called me !!!

I must be one of the world’s innocents Ron. Even after you told me where to look I still didn’t make the connection!

Was it too hot for the pigeons Backsplice, or did the Flips see them as a good supper?

John
