I know yeah and it’s a bit of a stupid rule if you ask me because after doing a fifteen hour day you should be getting more rest than if you a 13hr day not less.

How much is average for a night out? Unless im getting paid by the hour all night im not looking to live in the truck ?
Usually around 20 or 30 quid. You can’t expect any company to pay by the hour while you are parked up for the night.
I no you cant expect it but i just cant see why anyone would want to do it lol i woukd do it foe the right amount but not 20 or 30 a night
Well it has it’s advantages such as getting to see parts of the country that a day driver would never see and not having to drive home every night and back the next morning is also a part of it that I like.
The night out allowance doesn’t seem like much but it adds up to a nice few quid extra at the end of the week. Most lorrys now are quite comfortable to sleep in, some drivers will tell you they get a better sleep in the lorry than at home. Once you get used to it it’s fine but some just do not like it and that’s understandable.

Many people also forget how cheap you are actually living. That heating, electrical and water bill that doesn’t grove when you live in the e truck. Not using any fuel in the car and on and on. Remember it’s the cheap living that makes you rich not high income.

Yes I have to agree, and I had know idea how little money you actually spend beforehand. For example the last time I put petrol in my car was about a month ago. No bills apart from car and phone, no rent and only get to the pub once or twice a month now. But I wouldn’t say it makes you rich by any means but certainly a lot better off than day driver.
If you’re prepared to do the graft, put the hours in and rough it, you might as well specialise and earn well, hard grafters on the car transporters can make a good 45/50k, plus night out money.
Shortage of ■■■■■■ drivers, now’s the time lads, you might not get on the best paying companies straight off, but even the smaller outfits will pay more than general haulage whilst you’re learning the ropes for a few years, indeed some of the smaller companies pay very well indeed, flash doesn’t necessarily mean cash on transporters either.

its that same old thing with tramping monkey’s working for peanut’s, !oh no! its transport in general how forgetfull of me
On the money geez but don’t hate the player, hate the game. Market forces end of. In the next ten to twenty years it will die off more & more as young lads don’t want it & older lads want a grand a week to do it.
