I did days for years and earned more doing them than tramping , never earnt under £30 k , I did extra shift but then I was home every night and didn’t do anything like the hours I do now though it was more than 8/10 per day , mind now 12 hrs is enough fir me though nowhere near enough for planner , if the opertunity arises as it did thurs last week I was in car and on way home with you wont be payed for parking in yard and you’ve wasted 2 hrs of the day by parking up early ringing in my ears .
Don’t these drivers who seem to want to stay out all week realise what life is really about when they have a week / two on hol at home with there Mrs / kids / family / mates 
, ■■■ , proper food , own bed , how can you compare a t/stop shower with your own .
I had a job interview last week and soon as he mentioned the odd night out (?which no doubt will be 4/5 ) I lost interest ,
My week just consists of how can I wangle getting home in week , how many hours to Friday not how many £25 per night I can earn , no wonder there’s so many wife’s playing away

Because some people can not sit back, and go with the flow. Like your good self.
If I’m tramping, I enjoy it. I enjoy the variety of work and destinations. I do like not knowing what I’m doing tomorrow. I like finding somewhere new. I like parking up and waking up to new views regularly. When I tramp, I accept and don’t worry about not being at home. If you don’t like it, you should get another job
If I do day (or night) shifts, I enjoy being home everyday. I enjoy my loved ones company, and better food. I accept that the work will be less varied, and an increased level of ‘needing to get there and back’ stress.
Live, and work, are what you make of it. Enjoy it, or endure it. The choice is yours.
