Training center in Essex and learner restrictions?

The website is still active, worth a look.

There is a thread on this somewhere but with the search facility being next to useless at the moment I cannot find it

For confirmation that the main DTT company is no more then call what used to be the Norwich franchise - very helpful chap owns it

HI!

Just thought I would put everyone’s mind at rest regarding DTT.

It is true that the FRANCHISOR PLC has gone down the tube. So that means their Stanton HQ and the Colchester operation are no more. I would point out straight away that the situation that lead to the demise of the PLC was a lack of “management accumen” rather than a work. :unamused:

However, the FRACHISES in Enfield, Milton Keynes and Norwich are still operating and busier than ever! That’s why you may see their vehicles out and about.

At the moment, the FRANCHISES are taking advice as to whether or not they are able (or wish) to retain the name.

Agree with 8wheels,Purfleet is one hell of aplace to take test :open_mouth: especially if examiner takes you through the lanes of Ockendon :frowning: squecky bum time.
i took my 1st c&e test at Chelmsford, failed due to stupid error on my part.
Retested at Purfleet, although came close to failing :unamused:
Newcroft are based in Purfleet fully recomend.

Hi,I’m looking into getting my hgv licence can anyone recommend a good training center in Essex around billericay. I know of crowlands in Romford, has anyone experience of this company.

Also once I have passed my rigid test I may have access to a artic, could I drive this with L plates on a motorway or when loaded when with a full lincence holder. Thanks

I did my class 1 with Crowlands 10 years ago and couldn’t fault them. The problem with Purfleet is that it’s a bit tricky coming out of the centre everything else should be within your capabilities.

You could also try ACE TRAINING at sawbridgeworth near harlow they use volvo trucks for both C and C+E and test in the main at enfield good luck  aceman
