a few pics, including Jenkies helping clear up. I wonder what the insurance bill might add up to when you think of the cost of trailer, recovery, clean up, resurfacing etc… ■■?
i spoke to the driver he panicked a bit but did get the unit out from under the trailer and drove away afterwards
I passed this truck going the over way and it looked like the fire had just started but the driver was just standing there watching it.
He would of had plenty of time to pull his unit off.
I would of ditched the trailer to save my unit and belongings.
The fire brigade where only five minutes away and when I came back about 45 minutes later the fire was out and his unit was off , luckly the fire brigade put the fire out before it spread.

Lol, bless him. You can get a bit of stage fright when stuff like that is going down. Least he came to his senses eventually!
The main thing is he wAs okay
When was with previous company we had one catch fire on the M1 at Sheffield, tyre blew causing fire, had exactly the same at company before that. One dropped trailer, one didn`t, reason, both were bulk tankers, one both legs came down together, the other, each leg was independent, so time was against him and idiots in cars were still coming down the inside lane.

It’s only us thinking of the driver. Everyone else is more concerned about a replaceable piece of machinery.
I would try and save my weekday house 1st like
