I think the only thing that’s a bit daunting for me if I’m honest, is class 1 seems a lot harder to drive! :stuck_out_tongue:

I expect when you get the training things change, but when you see what’s involved with driving them it does make me think… how on earth can I drive that lol

In terms of learning. Class 2 is harder.
The class 2 training is when they teach you all the concepts that apply to driving trucks on the road.
Once you pass the class 2 all you have to worry for the class 1 is the reversing, uncoupling and compensating for the increased size of the truck.
Far as I’m aware class 2 test and class 1 is exactly the same so if you can crack the class 2 you can do the class 1.

I “learned” to drive a truck on class 2. Class 1 was less challenging (with the exception of the reverse). I felt way more at ease and confident on the class 1 on test day.

Did you find it beneficial quite quickly, or did you find yourself doing normal lorry driver jobs initially? (or still)…
