I was actually agreeing with you, the points you made were a good reason I haven’t posted for a while. He was doing 37 mph though ( read earlier post ) , so yea he was dragging it out , and even if he was doing 50 he was , how many night trunkers do you not see on the limiter , you believe what you want rob , but I’ve been round the block long enough to know what he was up too , like I say pull in a zb layby if you want to drag the job out , spend a extra 10 mins at you tri change , stop for a extra ■■■■ , but don’t drag it out on the road and ■■■■ drivers who want to get on then come on here roaring about it

More like a flash-bang… noisy and annoying, but ultimately harmless.
which given you know the A66 so well you’ll know that heavy loaded trucks go slow up those hills. Other than that and slowing down for the crossover onto the opposite carriageway at the start of the contraflow so I didn’t throw 27 tonnes of chipboard all over the road I was doing 50 and slightly over going down that steep hill to where the restaurant is on the right that is lit up in violet on a night. That RB driver was talking out of his arse, a bit like you do.

Trying to shove me up the road sat 2ft off my arse for 10 miles did. If I’d had to brake hard for whatever reason he’d be in the back of me. Given the weight I was running my brakes would have a hell of a hard time trying to slow his motor down as well as mine because theres no way he’d have even touched the brakes before hitting my truck and he’d be either seriously injured or dead so he’d not be braking his at any time. So chances are I’d be seriously injured or dead too thanks to that ■■■■ looking to save a whole 48 seconds.
And given that ALL new trucks all have that stupid AEBS system that is notorious for slamming the brakes on for absolutely no reason (some of ours get triggered by specific bridges on the A1) then tailgaiting anything that is 64 plate or newer that close is plain stupid.
