Had a good week a couple of years back, I was clearing a site for a developer when they’d finished the job and managed to scrounge some 9x2 boards for my garden, I left a bulk bag at the site and the landscapers filled it with quality topsoil to fill in the new veg patch.
To cap it all when all the stuff got back to their yard to make space we had to have a bit of a sort out of Heras panels and some other bits, there was a massive pile of broken panels, a pair of steel doors and a couple of knackered digger buckets. The site manager told me I’d be doing them a favour to lose them on the way home. A quick trip to the scrap dealer and I was £120 better off.

We are not even allowed to accept christmas gifts ie bottles, boxes of chocolates etc. Some pish about a bribery act! Tell your company [zb] all and tell your fellow drivers even less if you’re getting something they aren’t, that’s what ive learnt!

whats a tip ? never saw one of those 
I got a fiver for a coffee on Monday. Awkward blind side reverse against a low bridge under the M1. No margin for error and by total fluke everything went right and it went in first time. The bloke was so chuffed (even the tipper driver waiting gave me a smile and thumbs up) he said no drivers done it in less than 5 shunts. He kept calling me professional. Makes a change eh. Then he gave me a fiver and said get a coffee
