I’ve never been in Sue’s cafe where the Hacketts photo was taken but there was another cafe just off the A610 at Nuthall. You came off the M1 at J26 towards Notts and turned sharp left at the first island. The cafe was up there on the right and you could turn round further up near a church IIRC.
Anybody remember it?

Sues cafe was on the left going out of Ripley towards Codnor, where the industrial estate is,behind a car sales, there used to be a railway bridge across the road, and a turning on the right takes you up to Waingroves brickworks, where production has now stopped. I remember a cafe at Nutall Chris but can’t think of it,s name.

You are a top chap Flatman, dont suppose you have any Selby Garage Fodens from Leicestershire by any chance?

Cheers

Thanks

Hi Sniffy,

Thanks for that, I will credit you both. If he says he wants them removing, just let me know and I will quite happily remove them. No questions asked.

Regards

G

P.S. If you have any other Cargo (first version, after Ford D) pics, let me know.

Lovely set of photos, nice to see the ARC Cargo too, I don’t recall ever seeing one of them but they were a lovely comfortable drive & must have made a nice tipper. A late friend of mine had a Drum tipping gear on one of his lorries, any more photos to follow?
