As someone else said, 1: High value goods in curtain siders ■■? Asking for trouble. 2: Parking overnight with high value goods ■■? also asking for trouble. The buck should stop where it started. I know it can be a different story for an O/D but for bosses running a haulage firm.

What was in the boxes mate?
How the hell did you not hear anything, or more so feel movement in your trailer?
Maybe it’s just me as I’m a light sleeper and get woke up most nights at the slightest noise.
Beaconsfield services…and how much did you pay to park at that crap hole for the pleasure of their zero security.
Got a Snap account so no cost to me…was footwear in the boxes.
I am a pretty heavy sleeper, need 2 alarms to wake me
That night it was blowing a hooley so truck was moving a lot anywayThere used to be a shoe factory in my locality, and I remember my mate telling me they used to ship loads of left shoes and right shoes seperately for that reason.
That reminds me of the Crimea, when they sent two ships out, one loaded with left boots and the other loaded with right boots. One got sunk…

Pay for the parking in the morning, if the trailers not damaged and still loaded, it shows the security works [emoji23]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
if you leave your hat/coat in a resturaunt cloakroom or somewhere similar and it goes missing, then they are totally liable as they did not provide a reasonable duty of care to your property, irrespective of any disclaimer signs as by default, they are trying to remove your rights as a customer/consumer whether they charge for the service or not.
a msa would also be totally liable for charging parking, then allowing someone to drive in and out unhindered after robbing you.
the difference would be waiting for someone to take them on with a test case to prove it.
by charging, then you are a customer with rights to expect a reasonable standard of service.by doing nothing and ignoring their duty of care in a reasonable manner, then they have to be responsible for any damage or theft.

I know someone who was parked up in membury services last week.
Woke up in the morning with a massive hole in his curtain ,
and 9 pallets of beer had been taken. Didn’t hear or feel a thing.
We can’t park anywhere other than our own depots now… which is a right ball ache , as in most we have to drop the trailer and park outside.
As for no CCTV, the ANPR cameras on the entry/exit seem to work well enough. Just a thought.
