This box of 12xbottles of westons cider still hasn’t arrived. It was supposed to delivered on the 30th Oct, then the 3rd Nov then the 4th Nov & haven’t heard a word since, The option to contact DHL by email doesn’t work, It’s a waste o time phoning them as my hearing is pants & I can’t hear jack$hit these days.
Just sent an email to Weston’s office asking WTF is my apple juice. This ain’t the first time my orders have gone AWOL & disappeared, One time DHL said they’d delivered & they bloody well hadn’t, I said tell me the time of delivery as I have CCTV covering all entrances & can pull up that time on the recorder. Weston’s have always come good though & sent another box out to me.
I think it’s time to get them from somewhere else.
You need to tell Westerns that.
I once had to have a Range Rover fuel pump urgently delivered from Adelaide to Brisbane (2,000 km.). The parts supplier were brilliant. The transport company overnighted the the pump to Brisbane, then took four days and much prodding to get it the final 25 km to my door.
I left a review on the supplier’s website explaining that transport let an otherwise excellent service down.
The irony being the fool on the phone asked if I knew how far away Adelaide was; he had no comback when I told him that I had done that very trip, as a subby for them.
Yeah I did, their customer services have just got back to me & surprise surprise DHL can’t locate the box again, They seem to have a magpie in their warehouse.
They can’t locate it because the warehouse staff have had a party…they’ve supped the lot.
Before sealed shipping containers Liverpool dockers were a class act, anything that they fancied, they took
LOL, Exactly. I’ve just sent an email to Weston’s customer services about these “lost” boxes of cider. The DHL warehouse staff know exactly what’s in these cases when they see where they’re from.
I can’t fault the people at Weston’s though, they’re great to deal with. DHL on the other hand are another story, trying to get through to their customer service is nigh on impossible, you just go round in circles. I think they make their site as awkward as possible so people just say sod it.
The only trouble is the replacement case will be sent with DHLagain , as far as I can tell DHL move all their goods.
Fri - took wife’s car for mot , passed ok but apparently the coolant tank cap was broke ( not aware of it ) , so just said replace it thinking a fiver ish , £27.96 , £7.96 for cap , £20 to fit it !!! Robbery , my fault though for checking price to screw on a cap !!
Took shopping to my girls as she’s been really ill ( 2 nurses on her ward have been hospitalised) , others like my girl , just dropped shopping at the door
Sat - watched moto gp, went out on motorbike , bit of tidying up , gardening etc
Went a bed at 7 pm to catch up On sleep , that bloody cat of the wife decided it would be fun to jump from the window onto me ( his time on this planet is getting limited ) , nearly fell out the bloody bed , and before I could kick him he’d scooted down to the wife
I’m laughing at the cat, Ours are the bloody same, Around 04:00 they’ll get on the bed pawing your face to get up & this carries on until you get up to let them out & feed them, I’m always up by 06:00, a trait from my working days, never could have a lie in.
I cleaned the outside of the conservatory yesterday with the pressure washer & snowfoamed it along with both greenhouses, they were covered in algae.
It’s laundry day again for me & I’ve got orders to clean the oven I’ll put the car on charge too.
I’ve not had much luck with parcel deliveries lately, I ordered something off Temu at the beginning of September coming overland via the Chinese BRI railway, I got an email a few weeks ago saying package delayed because of a 16-20 day queue in Kazakhstan for document processing
I read that Poland also shut it’s border with Belarus closing the BRI route through it’s country, They redirected the train onto the middle BRI corridor line & that’s the reason for the delay.
I’m not really ar$ed as it’s a solar panel & auto watering kit for one of the greenhouses for next Summer.
Have we crossed the line on to preferences in the bedroom now?
Fingerless gloves eh? I can see the practicality but it’s something I’d never thought about.
But each to his own eh?
Wife putting breakfast on, she’s giving me a lift later for an afternoon’s football picking a mate up on way.
Watching Rememberance on tv, only a few there from WW2, they are all getting old now….some of their stories are amazing, …..guys I have a lot of respect for.
Speaking of cats…my lad has moved into a house in the country, he is going to get a couple of cats to keep the mice rats etc down.
Once over you got a cat foc people were glad to get rid of a litter of kittens, ……..cats are now being advertised 50 quid plus ffs !
Told him to see one of the local farmers, I got the kids a couple a long time ago to rescue them….I know it ain’t right and probably illegal now, but some farmers I know round here tend to drown kittens.
My stepdad , who worked on the land then farm machinery fitter drowned a fair few of a litter they had years ago , said mum wouldn’t cope with amount of kittens , my mum was in tears ( I know you shouldn’t laugh )
Our little sod cost me £250 , and yes rob I can remember the days of free kittens
