If you believe the DossCentre, working as a bin man for £8.20 ph around Witney is “working for a blue chip company.”
Where exactly would you like agencies to advertise if not on a job website?
that is how you get a job nowadays
start of as agency
after 13 weeks they have to pay you the same rate of pay as the full time workers (by law)
and if your still there after 6 months and doing alright there is a good chance you will be taken on full time
with full sick pay , 5 weeks paid holiday a year and a good pension

It’s not that they advertise there it’s the fact that most of their jobs don’t exist, are old and don’t actually reflect the role offered.
The people posting them are idle (just copying and pasting to keep the numbers up) and probably have a quota to fulfil to get paid by government who are just as bad for condoning it to make the employment figures appear better than they actually are.
Do people have a choice? Apply or lose your benefits.
I know, it’s a joke. They should ban agencies.

On their own bloody websites where they can make up all the jobs they like and only the gulliable and unemployable will fall for their fables.

Well ideally somewhere they had to pay for it, to deter them constantly putting scurrilous adverts for non existent jobs out there.
If any other type of business went around continually making false statements, tradings standards would soon be on their case.

Why would anybody feel aggrieved that employment agencies advertise on job websites? If you don’t want to call them, don’t call them! Call the so called real jobs!
We’ve all had bad experiences with agencies and weve all had bad experiences with real jobs
Maybe we should publish a list of bad companies to work for and double our chances of being sued.
By the way, anyone who wants a stress free easy full time work with loads of poa in the nothest with an agency i’ll be quite happy to introduce you and earn myself a nice easy £100 for each candidate.
Oh no sorry according to this forum theyd be liars and you’d have to be unemployable to work for an agency!
Probably just best to carry on running up your own backside all day probably moaning about the usual company politics and having to ask to book holidays and days off!(nothing like freedom is there?) why would you want to be free of all that?
Im sure the really good company you work for treats you really well and offer you massive bonusus to work when their desperate(like some agencies do) and you have no complaints! So all’s good! Cool lol.
I’ve even hear that some company drivers have to have nights out which helps them to earn a livable wage. Wow maybe I should quir agency work to do that!!!

There are a lot of agencies that lurk on here, pretending to be ‘one of the lads’. Usually they spring up if posters say anything negative about umbrella schemes etc. Are you sure you aren’t one of them, as your ‘input’ sounds like it could come direct from one of their mouths?
I haven’t signed on for years, but I am told the employment service can make you apply for a job up to a hours travel away. Just imagine how thrilled you’d be if money was real tight and you’d traveled a good distance in response to one of these ‘adverts’ only to find there was no actual job, but just some sad jerkoff trying to assemble a list of names. Do you think you would be a happy bunny? No, neither would anyone else.
No I’m not an agency. I am simply a driver of 20 years who has 20yrs experience who has realized that security is in my licence not in thecompany I work for.
I work agencies, different agencies and yes I admit some in the past have not been particularly good.
Simply phone an agency up ask them if they are guaranteeing 40hrs a week? if not say bye and find 1 that does. Not rocket science! !!
And there’s plenty in the Northwest who will although cant speak for other areas.
I am turning work down on a daily basis from ADR network and assist recruitment! And i know other drivers who are turning work away from others? what can i say? Other than i’ve never known work to be so busy. Make your own mind up?
Theres good agencies out there and it doesn’t take alot of nouse to work out the good from the bad!

That depends if you work for the agency under a reg 10 contract then they don’t have to alter pay.

nah. Working for a blue rosette council more like - unless you live in east Oxford…
Just think… By this time next year there might be as much Cameron in Witney as Witney in Houston.

They could try in the Bible. That’s full of unbelievable stories.
