That’s the OP’s question answered. Chips are a must.
Could/has one person ever finished that lot off?
Am I the only one that thinks thats looks absolutely revolting?! Give me quality over quantity any day.
Depends how peckish you are. Right now I’m waiting for Mrs.D to get ready cos we’re eating out tonight, and if she takes much longer I’m gonna look at that photo and just swallow my phone, I’m that hungry.
Bacon, egg, good sausage, fresh toms and tattie scones washed down with hot sweet tea…but it’s an occasional treat these days rather than a regular Sunday morning!
Now we’re talking ! Bubble and squeak , absolute nectar of the Gods
In the absence of proper bubble fried mash or new potatoes are acceptable.
Now the debate begins to define exactly what’s in bubble and squeak

Carrots maybe and cabbage, swede, sprouts whatever you got hanging about.

Yes, the ultimate breakfast needs ‘‘tattie scones’’.

Slam a raw egg in it before you fry it and stir it in,it tastes ace.
switchlogic:
NO! NEVER CHIPS! Only lunatics think chips belong on a fry up. Bacon, egg, sausage, black pudding, beans, fried tomato, fried slice and toast. There, end of topic thats the definitive answer.
P.s and tea, no other drink is EVER acceptable with a fry up

Funny you say that, I drink coffee and probably far too much of it, never ever drink tea .
But when I’ve got a fry up it’s tea, no idea why.
Also being from north of the border I quite enjoy a bit of haggis with the fry up.
Always have a cup of tea as it seems to cut thru the grease and I prefer to mop up with toast - always, always butter not yucky spread or margarine. AS for ■■■■■■■ mushrooms they are rank!!! If you put mushrooms in your mouth you will put owt in your mouth!!! Didn’t have chips today settled for 4 hash browns!
